Review: Fakhreldin Restaurant ★★★★★
The Fakhreldin is a lavish Lebanese restaurant in the heart of Amman, but located just off the main road on a serine side street. Think white table cloths, impeccable service, and peaceful environment.
We dropped by for lunch and despite being very under dressed the staff welcomed us with opened arms. The food is plentiful and well prepared. In fact, portions were so big that we split an entrée. We rounded out the meal with a handful of starters, and it was more than enough for the two of us.
The meat, by the way, was some of the best we’d had in Jordan.
The only thing we didn’t like we’re the pickle. There were too many hot peppers and not enough of the other vegetables. This wasn’t a deal breaker by any means. Just a small gripe.
At the end of the meal, the staff prepared a number of desserts gratis. This was incredibly surprising and a very classy touch.
If you’re coming, expect to spend some money. We dropped $100 on lunch and you should expect to pay more at dinner time. Keep in mind that they don’t serve alcohol here, so there’s nothing, like a bottle of wine, padding the bill.
We highly recommend eating here at least once. We dined here on our last day and it truly makes for a beautiful end cap to your time in Jordan. If you’re willing to spend the money, you won’t be disappointed.
