Review ｜ Smooth Cafe ★★★★★
Smooth Cafe is a restaurant/bar located in party central of Panagsama Beach. In fact, it’s right next door to Bawud Cafe Moalboal. Both places are somewhat similar; offering meals from breakfast through dinner, a wide coffee selection, vegetarian and vegan dishes, happy hour drink specials, and very friendly staff.
Here’s where they differ. Smooth Cafe is quite a bit a bigger, stretching pretty fall back from the road. This gives them a lot more seats. On most nights they also have live music, if that’s your thing. Their cocktails are a bit different and we highly recommend trying the Mango Majito. Their cocktail creations use a lot of local ingredients, like calamansi (a native lime-like citrus fruit), which is really interesting and unique. Unfortunately, their happy hour ends an hour before Bawud’s, making the bar a hard place to stay.
They serve up mainly western fare, pizza, burgers, etc. The food looked great when we were there, but we didn’t get a chance to sample any. If we’re in Moalboal again, we will definitely give the food, and more cocktails, a try.
