Review | Museo ng Makati ★★★★★
Museo ng Makati is pleasant little museum that showcases that culture and history of the Makati area. It’s nothing earth-shattering, but it’s a great place to drop by to get information about what’s in the area. The staff is really friendly. They informed me of some local events happening and also clued me in to a free guided tour of the area, which I believe is happening every weekend. I didn’t get a chance to do the tour, but I might try to do it in the future.
The museum is filled pieces from local artists and focuses on the history and culture of the Makati area. Beyond the museum, the area is home to a host of historical building and it’s probably the most eclectic part of Makati. It makes the visit to the museum more worthwhile. The locals in the area are also incredible friendly. Some random people I met on the street even invited me to a local party.
You won’t need much time to see the three floor of the museum. Most will be able to cover everything in far less than a half hour. Cameras and Smartphones are allowed, which is nice. The historic parts of Mataki will take a bit longer to explore. Plan an hour or two to walk the streets to see what’s around.
