Review | Pamintuan Mansion ★★★★★
The Pamintuan Mansion, located about 5km south of Walking Street, is one of the more robust and enjoyable sights to see in Angeles City. This is a great sight to include in a trip down to the Holy Rosary Parish Church.
Constructed 1890, this historic building is the beautifully preserved ancestral home of the Pamintuan family, which is not owned by the government and has been transformed into a museum.
The Pamintuan Mansion’s aim is to showcase Filipino social life, covering various aspects like traditional clothing, games, music, trade, and culinary arts. So expect a bit of a smorgasbord in what you see. I’m not 100% certain, but I want to say that some of the contemporary art on the second floor changes periodically. Beyond that, make sure to take some time to walk the lush grounds and take in the architecture. It truly is a sight to behold. I also highly recommend viewing the mansion from the corner of Miranda Street, to get a good perspective on how big the place actually is.
Expect to spend anywhere from thirty minutes to one hour here.
