Review | Milano’s Bakery & Pastry ★★★★★
Milano’s Bakery & Pastry is just far enough away from the city center to be completely devoid of tourists. Located about 600m west of the city center on Fields Ave/21st Street, the places appears to be a place the local expats know and go. I just happened to find the place by chance, having to shuttle between this area while going to and fro my hotel.
There isn’t much buzz about this place online, but I decided to give them a try. To my delight, they had a fair bit of selection to choose from. Since I was there between breakfast and lunch, I went for a pizza a portafoglio (mini pizza), a pastry, and a cappuccino. All were up to Italian standards and far better than typical Filipino baked goods.
Since all their products are made daily there, it’s a great place to head for breakfast. The quality of the coffee and pastries makes it well worth the effort.
Be aware that they do close at 5pm, so they aren’t a great option for dinner.
