Review | T-Backs Sports Bar & Grill ★★★★★
T-Backs Sports Bar & Grill was a place I had a lot of good things about, but it turned out to be a bit of a letdown for me. The restaurant looks like a T.G.I. Fridays from the 90s, complete with a hanging car from the ceiling, and is staffed with sexy, young Filipina. Hooray for all that, I guess. I personally found the staff to be a little cold and unfriendly towards me. Looking around, perhaps it was cause I didn’t fit the MO of the typical clientele, which looked to be aged Aussie pensioner that have retired in AC.
I didn’t come here to make friends. It was a solid breakfast I was craving with pipping hot coffee. The coffee was hot, I’ll give’em that, but that’s the only nice thing I can say about it. Not the worst cup of coffee I’ve had in the Philippines, but close to the bottom of the list. I ordered a skillet, which had an egg, onions, pepper, and potato. Sounded great, unfortunately it was very underwhelming with a lack of any seasoning. The potatoes, as well, were quite under-cooked, which was disappointing to say the least. The potion size, especially for the price, was surprisingly small.
Maybe this is the type of placed that pops at night and does standard bar food, like burgers, better. My advice is to steer clear of this one. There are far better places to eat around town that give more value.
