Review | Le Café Francais ★★★★★
Le Café Francais is hidden down the dark main road, about a ten walk away from Panagsama Beach. If you’re looking for something a little more calm and refined, this is the place for you. Cooking up Mediterranean dishes, there is a strong emphasis on French and Italian cuisine. They boast a large wine selection at affordable prices, which is the main reason why we wanted to visit. Ironically we didn’t feel like drinking when we got there, as we just felt tired from a busy day and had already done happy hour at another bar.
The food is alright. Our dishes didn’t jump out at us, but they tasted fine. I think we would have preferred if the flavors were a bit bolder and the portions a little more generous. Service is also a tad on the slow side. I will never begrudge a restaurant for taking the time to make a meal, but the taste has to justify the time. In short, our experience here added up to something average. That said, if we happened to be back in Moalboal again we would give this place another try.
