Review | Bea Anne Eatery ★★★★★
The Bea Anne Eatery is down to basics local eatery specifically for the common Filipino. It’s got no frills, fancy table cloths, waiters, or even AC. Definitely not a place for the faint at heart, that’s for damn sure. It’s rustic with simple furnishings, but that’s where the charm is. It’s a working person’s restaurant and if you really want to try authentic Filipino food, this is the place to go. For sure the food is tasty, and there’s a lot of variety to boot. Do note that this is a breakfast and lunch place and they close mid-afternoon.
The eatery is divided into two sections. The counter closest to the big opened bay doors serves as an ordering area for take-only. Behind that to the right there’s a second counter where everyone eating-in lines up. Ordering works cafeteria style. There are big steamer trays of food and you can just point to what you want and the staff will start loading up your plate. At the end of the process you’ll be at a cash registrar where you can get your drink and pay. After that you take your tray and find your own table.
The staff had a little trouble communicating in English, but there are always people around to help you out.
If you want to try this place, it is best if you have your own transportation to get here easily. You can take a jeepney though. It’s about 5km south of the center, but just a scant kilometer away from the Holy Rosary Parish Church.
