Review ｜ Apothecary Poblacion ★★★★★
Apothecary Poblacion is a newish cocktail bar in the up and coming trendy area of Poblacion, Makati. The area already has some amazing cocktail bars that should not miss and depending on your taste, this might be another to add to your list.
On the menu you’ll find some of the standard cocktails every bar has, but don’t bother with those. There is a section of original cocktails which you should gravitate to. There’s no point in sticking to any of the stand stuff here, as you want a unique experience. Taste is all very subjective, and if you’re a person that likes sweet cocktails, you’re going to love this bar. For my taste, it a bit too much sweetness and lack of other complexities that disagreed with me. I tend to enjoy cocktails that don’t hit you over the head with sugars.
I did have a chance to meet the owners, Gavin & Andy, and really interact with the staff, and I can say they were all great to talk with. With time, I think this is a bar that will mature, in it’s cocktails and it’s place in a city that is becoming a heaven for good cocktails. I’m excited to see how they will grow and look forward to visiting in the future.
