Review | Wildflour ★★★★★
Wildflour is a small chain in the Manila area. This review will be focusing on the Wildflour Café + Bakery Salcedo, located in Makati, which is focused more coffee and baking bread.
Even from outside, there is an enchanting smell calling you to come into the restaurant. There is full display case with the baked goods of the day, which include cookies, cakes, and breads. They all look incredibly good, and having sampled a bit of each category, I can confidently say they all taste as good as they smell.
If you’re in a rush, you can order your coffee and food to good from the front counter. There are also plenty of tables to sit at and have a proper sit down meal. Beyond being a cafe and bakery, they have a full kitchen going with a plenty of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Like most places in Manila, the staff is very friendly and everyone speaks excellent English.
The only downsides are the location and prices. Located close to where the Salcedo Saturday Market takes place, the area is devoid of any tourist attractions or reasons to come here, beside the Saturday market. Prices are also well above average. I think it’s a terrific place to have a sit down meal. This is the kind of place I’d go to on a Sunday morning to relax and eat great food. If you’re planning to grab a coffee, it might not be worth effort.
