Review | Ô délices French Bakery ★★★★★
Ô délices French Bakery is a bit of an odd one. It’s located in a seemingly random spot halfway between Panagsama Beach and them main section of Moalboal. The pure white building is hard to miss as it stands out like a sore-thumb between all the lush vegetation that surrounds it. Yet most visitors will probably never notice this bakery is here because of it’s out of the way location.
Location notwithstanding, the quality of the coffee and baked goods is some of the best I’ve had in the Philippines. We had a dense chocolate cake and a mango cheesecake. They were so delicious that we decided to buy some pastries to go. The cappuccinos were also perfectly made.
In a testament to the quality of the products, the bakery itself also seems well care for. It’s spotlessly clean inside. Like, you can see your reflection in the floor clean. There are about a dozen seats inside, where it’s air conditioned, and a few tables outside in the back on a patio. It can be hot, especially in the summer, so try to get a seat inside away from the humidity and insects.
A Difficult Cake To Frost
Unfortunately; for most travelers this bakery is too far out of the way. Walking from Panagsama Beach will take over 30 minutes. With your own transportation it’s an easy place to get to and we highly recommend making the effort to stop here on your way in or out of the beach area. One of the many benefits to renting a motorbike in Moalboal.
