Review | Good Vibes Cafe ★★★★★
The Good Vibes Cafe, as the name suggests, has a lot of good vibes. Located away from the city center and down a tiny road, the cafe serves up a little slice of tranquility from the dust, traffic, and noise that is the Philippines.
Now, getting to this little piece of nirvana is the challenge. As already mentioned, it’s not located in the city center, and even with Google maps it can be a tad tricky to locate. Located on a tiny residential street, it’s easy to pass right be the road and/or the cafe, as it looks like a house. I had to drive around for about 10 minutes before I actually located the place.
Finding the restaurant is only the first challenge, as like many eateries in the Philippines, the opening hours are a bit of a crap shoot. The first time I went I was told they were closed for a private event, even though no one was actually there.
If you’re into ‘health’ food, you’ll feel right at home. Honestly thought, I think this is a cool place to head when you want to kick back with a cold drink. The big draw here is the serine setting to relax in. It’s very green and quiet, with a hippy quality to it. Like, they ask you to bus your dishes and wash them.
As is typical for the Filipino eating experience, expect some menu items to not be on hand.
