Review | Coffee Break Vigan ★★★★★
Coffee Break Vigan is the place to go in Vigan if you need a serious cup of coffee. Located right in the historical center, it is the perfect place to stop for a coffee break.
The inside is spacious, with a second floor that seems mostly ignored. They’ve got the AC going full blast, making it a welcomed reprise from the sun drenched stone streets of Calle Crisologo.
Surprisingly, the cafe seems to be more of a haunt for local people rather than tourists. With its delicious cakes and jumbo coffee sizes, it’s no wonder. It also opens at responsible 9am, making it great for breakfast.
Because of it’s great location, Coffee Break Vigan is the perfect place to duck into at any time when you want to get out of the sun and cool down. I highly recommend their mango cheese cake, which is not something I had planned on ordering, but it looked so good I couldn’t resist. They have a full kitchen going as well, cooking savory foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I didn’t try any of that, but everything smelt amazing.
So, if you’re looking for real coffee in Vigan, from a bean, not a premade powder from a factory in China, this is the place to go.
